Sustainability

From the beginning of the project in 2020, Lenah Studio recognised the urgency of addressing the environmental challenges posed by the fashion industry. The brand's commitment is reflected in every bag or garment that is created, which is meticulously handmade using discarded fabrics.

Dead-stock fabrics refer to discarded or surplus materials from fashion houses, manufacturers or factories that would otherwise be discarded or wasted. At Lenah Studio we carefully source these high quality fabrics from Padua, Venice, Treviso and Vicenza, ensuring that they have a new life in our collections. By using fabrics that are no longer available, we minimise waste and contribute to a circular economy, reducing the environmental footprint of our garments.
Why is it important to reduce the use of new fabrics? The textile industry is a major contributor to global pollution and resource depletion. The production of new fabrics consumes large amounts of water, energy and raw materials, generating greenhouse gas emissions and harmful waste. By using stock fabrics, we significantly reduce the demand for new fabric production, preserving valuable resources and minimising the negative environmental impact associated with the fashion industry.

We invite you to join us on this transformational journey towards a better future.
